Who we are
ShopAgent (a working name) is run by TechElevate UK, company number 12559612, and is the controller of your data. Contact: hello@techelevateuk.com.
What we collect and why
- Waitlist: your email, and optionally your first name and what you’d want an agent to buy. We use them to tell you your place, send invites and launch news, and decide what to build. Basis: your consent.
- Using the beta: your name and email or phone, what you ask your agent for, the carts it proposes, your approvals, delivery address and order history. We use them to run the service and keep it safe. Basis: performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and misuse.
- Usage and errors: an anonymous visitor ID, which headline you saw, which steps you reached, and automatic error reports. Payment details, tokens and passwords are never included in reports.
Payments
Card details are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers, and your shopping agent never has access to them.
Who else sees your data
Shops you buy from (the order and delivery details), our payment provider, and our hosting and email providers. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details until you leave or we close the waitlist. Order records for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax. Anonymous usage data for up to 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. To leave the waitlist and delete your entry instantly, use the link on your place-in-queue screen. Otherwise email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
